The long awaited Sunday open was on Mucky Meadow and Furnace Pools this week.
Due to the snow and ice this was the first match since 13th December. 16 anglers turned out on what turned out to be another chilly day with ice trying to form again in the morning.
Andy Newton came first with 34 lb 11 oz from peg 36 (Mucky). Second place went to Paul Evans with 27 lb 8 oz from peg 48 and in third was Bob Skelding with 18 lb 4 oz from peg 50 with Chris Bradney coming a close 4th with 16 lb 4 oz from peg 43.
Sunday 24/01/10 16 fished (5 hours)

| 3rd | Bob Skelding | Old Dial | 50 | 18-4 |

On the hook the expanders are proving popular with the open anglers but pleasure anglers are opting for the ready prepared hookers. Corn and maggot fished over the red 2.5 mm pellet has produced steadily only light feeding required.
