This was our last day match until the Autumn as the evening opens start next weekend. The sun was out and there were plenty of fish feeding providing good sport for the 16 competitors on Mucky Meadow.

Monster Roach landed on Easter Sunday!john knight 3lb 6oz roach 04.4.10 web

Congratulations to John Knight, Willow Creek AC, who was fishing on Mucky Meadow on Easter Sunday in the two day festival.

Fishing from peg 44 he landed an amazing roach which weighed in at a mighty 3 lb 6 oz!

Easter Festival 2010

12 of the best anglers that fish regularly at Furnace Mill entered into the Easter Festival at the weekend - or should we say the Easter Battle as it was very close with the winner on 11 points and the next 3 all with 10 points.

Lots of male bonding went on over the two days ...........

Once again the Sunday open was on Mucky Meadow Pool as there were only the hardy regulars in attendance. This is the last match in the Winter League/Accumulator so by the end of it the top 24 were decided.

The Sunday Open this week was on Mucky Meadow Pool.  The overnight snow seemed to put a few anglers off so we only had 8 fishing the match.

The winner was John Newton, Furnace Mill, with 42 lb 11 oz from peg 36.
